The Auburn Police Department in Massachusetts witnessed the heroic efforts of K9 Biza, who successfully tracked and located a missing 12-year-old girl in freezing conditions.
On January 31, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m The Auburn Police Department received a distressing call reporting the disappearance of a 12-year-old child who had left home two hours earlier.
Responding promptly to the urgent situation, officers braved the freezing temperatures to initiate an extensive search operation.
K9 Biza to the Rescue
Auburn Officer David Ljunggren, accompanied by his dedicated K9 partner Biza, took charge of the search mission.
The canine’s remarkable olfactory abilities were put to the test as K9 Biza swiftly picked up the scent and embarked on a determined tracking mission, covering a distance of more than two miles.
Following K9 Biza’s trail, officers were led to a specific area indicating the child’s recent presence.
Converging on this critical spot, law enforcement successfully located the missing child, reuniting her with her family.
