British Council Launches ‘GREAT Scholarships 2024’ for Indian Students to Pursue Postgraduate Studies in the UK

The British Council has announced the GREAT Scholarships 2024 initiative, providing a golden opportunity for Indian students to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom starting from the autumn of 2024. 

This scholarship program, in collaboration with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, encompasses a wide array of fields, offering 26 postgraduate scholarships across 25 renowned UK universities.

The GREAT Scholarships 2024 initiative includes various disciplines like Finance, Marketing, Business, Psychology, Design, Humanities, and Dance, among others. 

This strategic partnership aims to strengthen educational ties between India and the UK. 

Key Features of GREAT Scholarships 2024:

  • 1. Each GREAT scholarship is valued at a minimum of £10,000, designated to cover tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate course in the UK during the 2024-25 academic year.
  • 2. The scholarships cover a broad spectrum of disciplines, reflecting the diversity of courses offered by the participating universities. From Justice and Law studies to Science and Technology, including subjects like artificial intelligence, sustainable engineering, and psychology.
  • 3. In collaboration with the Ministry for Justice, two scholarships are exclusive for Indian students seeking to study into Justice and Law studies. These scholarships are available at two participating higher education institutions.
  • 4. An additional four scholarships in Science and Technology are up for grabs across four UK universities for the 2024-25 academic year. These scholarships are for students interested in various science and technology-related subjects, such as artificial intelligence, sustainable engineering, and psychology.

GREAT Scholarships 2024 aims to strengthen educational ties between India and the UK. Prospective applicants are required to meet specific eligibility criteria, including receiving an offer of entry from one of the participating universities and satisfying all entry requirements for the chosen course.
